The price includes supper. | | 2025-01-20 Artefacts Disappear | Artefacts from 2 of 3 mini museum cabinets located in Monk Fryston Hall have been removed by person or persons unknown and are regarded as a theft and a gross vandalism of the village?s cultural heritage. Amongst the 50 items taken are a 13th century stone mortar, an early medieval/viking age knife and a 14th century horse fitting. The owners have declined to report the theft to the police. | | 2024-10-30 Solar Farm Proposal | A massive solar farm, as big as more than 2,600 football pitches to generate 500mw of power, enough to power up to 115,000 homes, has been proposed between Selby and Tadcaster. Known as Light Valley Solar, the Green Island Power project is proposed in areas between Monk Fryston, Hambleton and Escrick. | | |
