The Churchville House Lunch Club for over 60ís takes place on Wednesdays from 11.30am to 1.30pm. A hot meal and pudding is provided for £4.50. The event is run by NET. Door to door transport can be arranged for a small fee. For more details call 0113 2874784
2019-02-07 Train Breakdown at Rush Hour
A broken down train caused delays to rail services between Leeds and York during Monday morning rush hour. The rail line was blocked and some services halted after the breakdown at Micklefield. Trains to York were disrupted till 10am as engineers worked on the fault

South Milford Surgery is hosting a Coffee and Cake Morning at Churchville House, Micklefield on the first Tuesday of every month from 11.15am to 12.15pm, starting 5th February. It will be a place to meet and chat with a different health guest every month.

20mph Zone Notification signs have been posted on lampposts in Micklefield, "Lower speed limits are set to be introduced in more residential areas across Leeds as part of a city-wide programme to reduce road casualties.
2019-01-25 Micklefield School Consultation
A consultation on the permanent expansion of Micklefield Church of England Primary School runs from 28th January to 4th March. The proposal is to admit an additional 10 children into reception from September 2021, increasing the number of places from 20 to 30. As these places are filled and these children progress through the school, this would mean that eventually an additional 70 places would be available across all year groups. Community drop-in sessions will be running at the school on Monday 11th February from 8.40-9.20am and Wednesday 13th February from 5.30-7.30pm so that anyone who can go along, ask questions and share their views.
2019-01-12 Vehicle Damage Appeal
There has been a recent spate of malicious damage to vehicles in Micklefield, tyres slashed and some cosmetic damage etc. This has been happening late in the evening or overnight. This has caused a lot upset to the victims, not to mention the cost. If anyone has any information about who could be doing it can they please contact West Yorkshire Police on 101
