2024-09-29 Road Closure |
Great North Road will be closed from 8pm to 6am starting Tuesday 8th October and every night through to morning of Monday 14th October between Micklefield and Aberford at the bridge over the motorway. Traffic will be diverted to junction 47 and onto the A642 for Aberford. |

2024-09-18 Cyclist Dies in Road Collision |
A cyclist died after a crash with a van near Leeds on Monday morning around 6.10am. The collision happened on the Great North Road near Ledsham. Police said that it involved a bicycle and a white transit van. On arrival, officers found a man had suffered life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the transit van, a 29-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. |

2024-07-26 Toddler Playground |
Micklefield Parish Council is planning to install a new Toddler Playground in the Recreation ground, as an addition to the Diamond Jubilee Play Area. The Parish Council is applying for a big chunk of external funding from the FCC Community Foundation. |

2024-07-16 164 Bus Improvements in Micklefield |
From July 21st there will be 164 buses at least one every hour running through Micklefield as part of the Combined Authority Bus Service Improvement Plan.

There is a Fun Day at Churchville House on Saturday 15th June. There is a Burger Stand, A Bouncy Castle, Hook A Duck, and other stalls. Also music and dancing. |
