Excel Water Ltd, which makes water treatment products, expects to create nine new roles when it moves from its current premises at Ledston Luck Enterprise Park to new ones at Kiln Park in Allerton Bywater.

Work has started on the Kippax Parish Council 2019 calendar. Its theme is life in Kippax at different times of the year. Residents can send photos for inclusion in the calendar. Closing date is 20th July. See the parish council website for details.

The Viva Vox Choir are recruiting new singers. New members are always welcome at The VivaVox Choir, but this Friday 2nd March they are dedicating the evening to new members. The evening is free so come along to Great Preston Village Hall from 7pm to 9pm and join in
2018-02-26 A Grand Day Out
Kippax Band travelled to Peterlee to take part in the Festival of Brass held by the DCBBA at East Durham College. After a successful performance the y were awarded second place and Principal Cornet Nigel Darbyshire was rewarded with the soloist prize.
2018-02-23 Musically Masterful
Brigshaw Music Department hosted a masterclass given by Richard Meyrick, a professional concert pianist, as part of a scheme to take classical music into state schools and uncover hidden talent. Richard listened to 4 pupils play before an audience of Brigshaw and Boston Spa pupils, and gave tips and advice on improving their performances.
