2024-10-01  Man Hit by Car

West Yorkshire Police appealing for witnesses to collision in Kippax. A man in his 20s suffered head injuries when he was hit by a car while crossing the road near the Old Tree Inn on High Street. He was hit by a red Honda Jazz at around 9.24pm on Friday. Police are appealing for witnesses.

There is a Night of Mediumship with Stephen Black at Kippax Ex Services Club on Wednesday 9th October. Tickets are available behind the bar. 

2024-09-28  Crown Me for Frock Sake

Kippax Welfare Club is hosting Crown Me for Frock Sake, a charity drag competition on Saturday 28th September. Tickets are ?10 and the doors open at 6.30pm. 

2024-09-26  Crime Figures Down in Kippax

Police figures for Kippax and Methley Ward comparing the last 2 months with the same period a year ago show a fall in reported crime, particularly regarding nuisance motorbike incidents, theft of motor vehicles and residential burglary.

2024-09-25  Planning Application Withdrawn

The application for planning permission for a battery storage facility off Barnsdale Road, on the Allerton Bywater side, has been withdrawn by the applicant. This means that the 2 planning applications on either side of Barnsdale Road have both concluded with no planning permission being given.
