2018-09-15 Mining Machine Open Weekend
Oddball, the 70 year old walking dragline excavator at RSPB St Aidans will be open to the public today and Sunday. The open weekend takes place from 1pm to 4pm on both days. The event and parking are free.
2018-09-14 Poppy Making Day
A craft and creativity day is being held at Kippax Methodist Church on Saturday 15th September from 10am to 4pm. The event is part of the village’s preparations for the Armistice commemoration event in November. People attending will be able to make, sew and knit poppies.

Kippax Band has announced that Stephen Tighe has accepted the band’s invitation to become their new Musical Director from September 2018. With over 40 years’ experience of the music industry, and performances with some of the country’s top bands as both a trombonist and Music Director, Kippax are confident that Stephen has the calibre to lead one of the world’s oldest brass bands back to success into 2019 and beyond. His inaugural concert as official Musical Director will be at the cabaret weekend 13th/14th October
