Clearance work has taken place at the historic Dark Arch at Parlington to allow a survey to take place with a view to restoration, the tunnel has been closed to the public for a number of years. |

Leeds City Council has announced plans for a consultation on crown green provision as part of a wide-ranging package of measures designed to tackle the unprecedented financial challenge it is facing. One option being considered would see the number of greens reduced to 31, delivering a net annual saving of ?140,000 from the 2025/26 financial year onwards. The 30 bowling greens earmarked for potential closure include Aberford Bowling Green, Kippax Common (Green Lane) and Micklefield Park |
