2026-07-24   The Christmas Experience

The Christmas Experience Event at Lotherton Hall this year will run from 21st November to 3rd January. The Christmas Experience has something for everyone, from little believers visiting Santa for the first time, to magical adventures with Mrs Claus, the elves and Santa, or a festive day out full of wonder. Estate entry only is ?12.50 adults, ?7.75 children aged 3+, free for under 2's. Santa?s North Pole is from ?16.95, perfect for families, and Santa?s Cabin for pre-school kids is ?12. 2026-07-16   Meet the Firefighters

Come along to the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service stand and meet the crews of Garforth Red watch and Killingbeck White Watch at the Baby Band Festival at Lotherton Hall on Sunday 19th July from 11am to 6pm. Explore a real fire engine, pick up lots of safety advice 

2026-07-14   Lotherton Kite Festival

The first ever Lotherton Kite Festival takes place on the weekend of 22nd to 23rd August from 10am to 5pm. Northern Kite Group fliers will guide you through an itinerary of specialist display which will include stunt flying and array of characters, animals, mythical creatures and childhood favourites. This event is included in the price of admission. 

2026-07-13   Lotherton Summer Holiday

With six weeks of summer fun, from 18th July to 31st August, including a whole host of children's entertainment, fairground rides, sand pit, crafts, classic seaside games, photo opportunities and a trail around the house, have a fantastic summer day out at Lotherton during the school holidays. Everything is included in the price of admission. 

2026-07-12   The Yorkshire Military Band

As part of Leeds Music Services Bands in Park summer programme come along to the activity village at Lotherton Hall on Sunday 26th July from 2pm to 4 pm to hear the Barnsley based Yorkshire Military band. 

2026-07-11   Baby Band Music Festival

Baby Band Family Music Festival is a joyful day of live music, singing, dancing and family fun. It takes place on Sunday 19th July from 10.45am to 6pm. Tickets are Adult.: ?28.46 (?27.00 + ?1.46 booking fee), Child.: ?22.13 (?21.00 + ?1.13 booking fee) 

2026-06-08   Child Seat Check

In partnership with Leeds Council, Good Egg Safety are running FREE child car seat checking events across West Yorkshire during 2026. Two thirds of child seats checked across the UK are fitted incorrectly. It only takes 5 minutes to get your car seat checked. So come along to Lotherton Hall on Friday 14th August from 10am to 3pm for a quick and easy check of your child's car seat for total peace of mind that they're sitting safely. 

2026-06-07   Aberford Literary Festival

Aberford Literature Festival is back for 2026 ? now a 3-day, all-weekend event! It's bigger - it's better - but most importantly it's still local, and it's all about community! Come along and enjoy on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June 2026. With more Guest Speakers, more ALF Awards, more genres of literature ? drama, poetry, crime thrillers, psychological thrillers, historic literature, 60s beat group fiction, youth authors and independent publishing. 

2026-05-27   Earthquake

Residents in Bramham, a few miles from Wetherby, might have noticed the tremor on Thursday (21st May) night. The British Geological Survey (BGS) has confirmed that the 1.2 magnitude quake hit the village at around 10.44pm on that date. It was a relatively deep seismic event, with the BGS recording a depth of 27km for the tremor near Leeds.
